California Current Surveys for 2002
 

 

 

CalCOFI 0211NH (10-26 Nov 2002): returned to San Diego 0500 Nov 26. All 66 stations were successfully occupied.

  • CalCOFI 0207NH (2-18 Jul 2002): sailed from Nimitz Marine Facilities, Pt Loma 0800 2 Jul on SIO R/V New Horizon. All 66 standand CalCOFI stations were successfully occupied. New Horizon returned to MarFac 0700 18 Jul 2002.
  • CalCOFI 0204JD (28 Mar - 25 Apr 2002): sailed from Nimitz Marine Facilities, Pt Loma 0800 28 Mar on NOAA David Starr Jordan. IOD personnel disembarked at Port Hueneme on 13 Apr after completing 67 stations. The cruise continued for 12 additional days, extending the egg survey and for trawling. The ship with NMFS personnel returned to San Diego on 25 Apr.
  • CalCOFI 0201JD (24 Jan - 11 Feb 2002): sailed 0800 24 Jan on NOAA David Starr Jordan. Â
    All 66 standard CalCOFI stations were completed. Â Â Ten additional CTD casts, five casts on 2 NOAA mooring sites, were completed in the San Pedro Channel. Graduate student and cruise participant Dave Field completed 10 Mocness tows with additional CTD casts for water samples.
