- The MVP is being tested by the Integrative Oceanography Division at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
- The MVP is an addition to the CCE LTER site and is supported by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
- Dr. Mark Ohman conducted a 36hr sea-trial on 30 Sept - 1 Oct 2005 on SIO RV New Horizon.
- The MVP was also deployed between stations on Line 80 during CalCOFI 0511NH, coinciding with the
SPRAY underwater glider
39 day transect off Point Conception.
- Dr. Mark Ohman has used the MVP extensively on an LTER process cruise aboard the R/V Knorr in May-June 2006 and on lines 80 and 90 aboard the R/V Roger Revelle (CalCOFI0610RR) in November 2006.
