CalCOFI Station  Positions

The CalCOFI station positions can vary for each cruise. The criteria for ship position is within a 2 nautical mile radius of the desired position. CalCOFI Line and Stations numbers are often rounded when reported ie Line 93 = 93.3, sta 82.47 = sta 81.8 46.9. Since the addition of SCCOOS stations, it has become increasingly important to use the complete decimal reference to define Line & Station.
