CIFT extracts and formats data from the IEH archives into comma-delimited ASCII (decimals) files.  Currently there are two separate forms: bottle data and station data.  Bottle data are data from the discrete depth water samples.  Station data include station information, weather, and productivity data.  If you prefer to group the bottle and station data into a single file, download and install the beta version of the CIFT Windows 9x/NT program.
Just updated - IEH data includes 1999 complete. Although the current files are in one year bins, plans to group data in ten year bins are underway. Using a similar query form but selecting decade (ie 1990s, or 1980s) will extract data from 10 years at a time. Next will be the entire dataset but figure the extraction may take a while since you are querying over 100mb of data. Please note that these capabilities are available in the Windows CIFT program. You can extract from the entire dataset either/both bottle and station information into separate or merged delimited file(s). Queries based on latitude & longitude are also possible as well as month(s), line(s), station(s). Please refer to the Cift software page for details.
